What this site is

An independent publisher of research-based product guides. We write about equipment that makes everyday tasks easier for older adults. We do not sell products, hold stock, process orders or handle returns. Anything you buy is a transaction between you and the retailer.

Not medical or professional advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice. We describe what equipment does and what manufacturers’ specifications say. We do not diagnose, treat or advise on any condition, and we cannot assess whether a product is safe or suitable for a particular person.

Decisions about mobility aids, bathroom safety equipment, medication management and exercise should be made with a doctor, physical therapist or occupational therapist who can see the person involved. Grab bars and other weight-bearing equipment should be fitted by someone competent to do so.

Accuracy

We take care to be accurate and we date every page, but products change, specifications are revised and listings move. Always check the current product listing before buying, and verify any specification that matters to your decision. Prices

We do not publish prices in our articles. Where a price appears it comes from a periodic automated check and is shown with the date of that check. The price that applies to your purchase is the one shown by the retailer at the time you buy.
